Biographies
Emma Sutton
Emma has been dancing since she was three years old. She attended Diane Gullifords School of Dance located in Poole, and was fortunate to be given the opportunity to perform at the Lighthouse with a few professional companies.
When she was 18 she moved to London after auditioning and being accepted at Margaret Howard Theatre College. She studied drama and singing as well as extending her dance training. Here she completed the tap and modern syllabus alongside studying new styles. Including musical theatre, pas de deux and hip hop. Emma left with a three year performance diploma as well as developing her flair for lyrical and contemporary dance.
Since graduating Emma has taken part in numerous events. Including music videos, photoshoots and live performances.
Emma has previously modelled, and has been lucky enough to take part in catwalks, be featured on websites and also published in magazines.
Emma also completed a six month contract dancing in hotels across Greece and Turkey and has been one of the original members of GJ Cabarets since its inception in 2013.
Hana Elizabeth Coley
Hana began her life as a dancer at the tender age of 3 where she learned the foundations of Ballet, Tap and Modern and got the taste for performing. At 16 Hana joined "Stage Door School of Dance and Drama" where she gained grounding in jazz, Spanish, Irish and National. It was at Stage Door that she made her professional stage debut as a senior dancer in the pantomime Aladdin at Poole Lighthouse. She went on to understudy Marti Webb as The Wicked Witch in Snow White at Bournemouth Pavilion and actually stepped in to fill her shoes for two shows, giving her valuable performing experience.
For 2 years Hana was part of the Bournemouth based burlesque group "Once Upon A Tease", with whom she got to perform in London and L.A, wowing audiences with provocative and risqué dance routines. Hana's ability to mix street, sexy and stylish made her a huge hit with the crowds.
Following her acting training in Hollywood, Hana has also had a host of TV and film work experience, including parts in The Harsh Light of Day, How I Live Now, V.I.P (Channel 4), and she was responsible for choreographing and performing in British zombie flick "Stalled".
Hannah has loved every minure of being part of GJ Cabarets, and was one of the original performers when it began in 2013, and is proud to be one of the South's top dance acts.
Holly Edmonson
Holly began dancing at just 3 years old in her home town of Wimborne, Dorset, exploring a variety of disciplines including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics and Musical theatre. After years of training, Holly began auditions for some of the top performing arts schools in the country, successfully gaining places at 10 different schools. She chose to attend the prestigious Italia Conti Academy in London, embarking on a 3 year course in musical theatre.
On completition, she immediately received multiple job offers and began her journey as a professional dancer and performer. Holly’s 10 year professional career took her all over the world, performing on cruise ships, in hotels, and on theatre tours. Holly now uses her skills as a freelance dance, musical theatre, acrobatics, and aerial arts teacher, and is thrilled to have the chance to perform again with GJ Cabarets!
Cerys McGrath
Cerys completed her dance training at Middlesex University in London specialising in Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz dance. She then went on to work in Beverley Holiday park in Devon as Dance Captain and one of the Resident Entertainers.
After finishing at Beverley she went on a tour with Do Portugal Circus as a showgirl Dancer touring Central America. She has most recently finished a contract at Georgioupolis Resort Hotel in Greece performing as part of the showteam and taking fitness classes during the day.
Cerys is so grateful to be given the chance to perform with GJ Cabarets and is really looking forward to the upcoming Christmas shows as part of White Christmas Events.
Jessica Fossey
Jessica started dancing from the age of three and attended her local dance school ‘The Orchard Academy of Performing Arts’; with her families continued support and encouragement she left Dorset at 18 and completed four years of professional dance training at Bird College, London graduating in 2014 with a degree in Professional Dance and Theatre performance.
During that time she featured in many college productions including 42nd street, and performed a solo at the Royal Albert Hall accompanying the Royal Marines Massed Bands.
After graduating, Jessica lived in Japan for two and a half years, dancing as various Disney characters in the Tokyo Disneyland production “One Mans Dream 2”.
Jessica is looking forward to being part of GJ Cabarets and is exciting to be a Cancan dancer for their upcoming Christmas performances.
Jenna Brown
Jenna started at First Position School of Dance when she was 6 years old, and has been passionate about dancing ever since. She has danced at theatres such as The Lighthouse, Her Majesty’s Theatre in London and in Disneyland Paris. She has trained at First Position in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Commercial and Contemporary dance styles. She has also taken part in several graded dance examinations in Ballet, tap, modern and jazz. She has performed in many dance events throughout Bournemouth such as ‘Thriller’ in the Bournemouth Square and a piece inspired by ‘We Will Rock You’ at The Seven Seas Festival.
Since she was 15, Jenna has been apart of The Bournemouth Youth Theatre to train in drama, singing, and musical theatre alongside her dance training. This has also given her the chance to perform roles such as Gabriella from ‘High School Musical Jr.’ and Miss Sherman from ‘Fame’ the musical.
Jenna currently attends LeAF Studio School where she furthers her training in performing arts. She has recently helped choreograph and put together a piece for Rock Challenge Uk that won the National Final in July 2018. She is now soon going on to audition for vocational colleges to develop her training in dance and musical theatre.
Gina Joyce Barnard
Gina trained in Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz dance from a very young age. Whilst attending Steppin Out Academy of Performance she achieved the highest levels of these genres, alongside studying Irish dance and gaining her teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and is a certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher.
Since making her professional performance debut as a senior dancer in local Poole and Bournemouth pantomimes, Gina has continued to perform in various cabaret acts and modelling catwalk shows.
Gina worked for Warner Leisure holidays where she not only expanded her performance repertoire but gained vast experience in other aspects of entertaining. Here she also developed her vocal ability and love of choreographing.
Gina has worked as a professional dancer which has giving her the chance to travel the world including variety and showgirl productions in Rhodes, Turkey and Kos.
